The toolkit is a comprehensive resource to support mental health practitioners and services in applying intersectional principles to their work. The toolkit centers on the lived experiences of diverse communities—including LGBTIQA+, multicultural, multifaith, and disability groups—and aims to foster inclusive, trauma-informed, and culturally safe practices. It outlines seven core elements of intersectional practice and applies them across the client journey, from initial engagement to transition and connection. Designed for both individual practitioners and service-level implementation, the toolkit promotes reflexivity, advocacy, and accountability to community, encouraging a whole-of-service approach to mental health reform.
